New residents moving into the City need to sign an application form for water service and return it to the City Hall. At the time of registration a $50 deposit will be required. The deposit will be held against your final bill.

Water and Sewer Rates
  • Water rates are: $3.84 per 1,000 gallons used, plus $3.00 user fee per month
  • Sewer rates are: $6.25 per 1,000 gallons used, plus $3.00 user fee per month
  • Garbage pickup: $12.00 per month for one 96 gal toter
    ($17.60 for two 96 gal or $11.00 for one 64 gal)
  • Storm Drainage: $7.50
  • Economic Development: $1.00
    (may opt out)

You can also pay your water bill online.  It is important to understand when setting up an account you will have access to view your utility account information and consumption history online free of charge.  The City of Norwalk pays for this service as a convenience to our residents.  If you choose to use this account to pay your monthly bill, your credit card will be charged a $1.25 processing fee in addition to the amount you request to be paid.
