Activities for Adults:
Recipe Exchange: Do you like to cook? Do you like to collect new recipes? Join us the 1st Thursday of each month to meet new people, talk cooking, and learn about new recipes. Each month we have a theme in which you can bring your favorite dish for that theme. If you don’t get a chance to cook, feel free to come anyway and learn about new recipes that you can try out. We will meet from 7:00 P.M. – 8:00P.M the 1st Thursday of each month. Our upcoming themes through May are as follows (we will add June through December shortly):
- January 5: Holiday Treats
- February 3: Tailgate Foods
- March 1: Freezer Meals
- April 5: Egg Dishes
- May 3: Simple Dishes
Breakfast and Books: Join Norwalk Library on the 3rd Friday of each month for this fun new book club. This is a chance to simply share what you have been reading or give you a chance to learn about new authors from what others have been reading. We will also try to share some new upcoming titles that the library is purchasing while also enjoying a breakfast of donuts or muffins with juice. Breakfast and Books is from 10:30 A.M. – 11:30 A.M the 3rd Friday of each month.
Friends of the Library: Join us as we being a new Friends of the Library group. This group is intended to help support the library in a variety of ways such as giving input to what new programs the Norwalk Community would like to see the library provide, as well as finding ways to raise funds for larger projects. We will meet the 4th Monday of each month at 6:30 P.M. till 7:30 P.M. (If you cannot make that date, but would still like to be a part of the group, we can add you to an email list and send out information after each meeting – please contact Director Holly Karlen to be added to the email list). Throughout 2012, we will be meeting: January 23; February 27; March 26; April 23; June 25; July 23; August 27th; September 24th; October 22nd; and November 26
Novel Year: Join the Novel Year Book Club and make new friends, experience new places, and embark on new journeys through books. We meet February, April, June, August, October, and December. Please click on this link to get a copy of our program, or stop in the library and pick one up.
