The Board of Trustees is responsible for overseeing the administration of the library and the development of responsive and creative library service. The seven-member board is appointed by the Mayor of Norwalk and approved by the Norwalk City Council. The Trustees meet at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s meeting room on the second Monday of each month. Meetings are open to the public.
Director's Message
I have loved the library for as long as I can remember. I can remember spending many afternoons after-school at the library in Ankeny. I would find some corner and either curl up with a good book or work on homework. As I got older, my love for the library has only grown, and especially my love for technology within the library. I have told many family and friends that I have finally found my dream job and I couldn't be happier. I just want to welcome the entire Norwalk Community to stop by and say hi sometime. If you have any suggestions or ideas, please feel free to email, call or drop by.
The Board of Trustees, staff and I are dedicated to making your visit to the Norwalk Easter Public Library a memorable experience. Our shared vision is to create a library the people of the community deserve and will be proud of. We strive to align exemplary service with the needs of our growing, diverse and progressive community.
Please take a few minutes to explore this website and read about our collection, services and programs. I look forward to seeing you when you visit the library.

Five-Year Strategic Plan
In 2006, library staff and the Board of Trustees joined with area residents to identify community needs and to determine how the library could support those needs. Their combined effort resulted in an ambitious five-year strategic plan for library service. The plan provides measurable objectives and clear initiatives that guide the library's effort to provide programs and services to complement a thriving and progressive community.
